Summary:
Open and close the facility.
(set cones and signs out, ensure restrooms are unlocked; ensure electrical room, lab, storage room, and custodial closet are locked; pick up cones and signs and close entrance and exit gates) Interact with visitors.
Help take care of any housekeeping issues that may occur (restroom issues, empty trash cans throughout the day, sweep sidewalks, pick up trash, cigarette butts, wipe down trash cans, interactive exhibits, screens, etc.
) Turn audio and video equipment on and off each day.
One host will normally be on duty, two during the busier times or special events.
Fill out daily/weekly/monthly checklist.
Be aware of visitors and your surroundings for unusual or questionable situations.
You may be the first on site for an emergency situation, (medical issues, fire, evacuation situation, etc.
) This includes mitigating circumstances arising from incidences of visitor discomfort, injury, illness, and adverse behavior.
Do not make statements to media or press.
Daily activities include, but are not limited to:

30 Start Opening the Center Check in with Jamie or Lauren on the radio to let them know you are here Turn on display screens, ensure interactive exhibits are on/functioning Check all restrooms Use blower to clean off boardwalks.
Facility opens to the public at 10:
00 Greet and interact with visitors.
This is why we are here.
Take lunches at different times from other Hosts and Docents.
Ensure visitors are using interactive exhibits safely and properly.
Address any unsafe behaviors such as climbing on railings.
Check restrooms throughout the day.
You may ask a female employee to check the women's if necessary.
If a female employee is not available, wait for women's restroom to clear out, knock/announce you are entering, and put out cone/sign to prevent new guests from entering until you are done.
Wipe down interactive exhibit screens and touchpoints on bikes.
Sweep sidewalks throughout the day if needed.
Please only use the blower in the morning before visitors arrive.
Check recycles containers, if full, please pull bag and put new bag in.
Put full bags in gated area under the CEC.

Walk areas/trails surrounding the CEC and pick up any trash and move any palm fronds, etc.

Weekly activities (to be done every Saturday) include, but are not limited to:
Use broom to remove cobwebs, bugs, etc.
from corners, under/behind benches, railings, fencing, etc.
Use a wet rag to wipe down metal and wood railings, benches, signs, etc.
Walk areas/trails surrounding the CEC and apply ant killer.
Walk areas/trails surrounding the CEC and fill any holes or low spots in walkways with Client.
Walk areas/trails/boardwalks surrounding the CEC and pull out any weeds, moss, or vines growing into or on walkways or railings.
Initial weekly checklist Monthly activities (to be done the first Saturday of every month) include, but are not limited to:
Empty cigarette butts from smoker poles by the parking lot Solar Zones and refill with play sand if needed.
Check that the fire extinguishers (inside the lab, inside the electrical room, and outside the electrical room) are all within the acceptable (green) range.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
