Position
Summary:
The data processor gathers data, prepares reports, answers routing correspondence, operates office equipment.
The data processor is expected to function independently in all but the most unusual instances.
Supervision and Controls over the Work:
The data processor receives day-to-day direction from the school administrator(s) and receives specific performance requirements from the supervisor.
The data processor operates within district and school policies and procedures.
Major Duties and
Responsibilities:
Duties and responsibilities listed may include, but are not limited to the following:
Compiles data and assists in the preparation of complex statistical analyses and reports.
Registers students for enrollment and class assignments.
Perform school tours Gathers new student information including transcripts, school records, appropriate medical histories, and other required documents.
Dispatches appropriate student information to other schools Inputs student records to include grades, schedules, and other information into appropriate databases.
Collects and receipts money as directed.
Conducts student withdrawal in accordance with standard operating procedures.
Maintain student records; maintains accurate files and honor subpoenas as required.
Verifies and processes diplomas/certificates as appropriate.
Prepares correspondence, reports, and minutes on general or technical subjects.
Signs in substitute personnel, and volunteers as appropriate.
Monitors the daily attendance process.
Operates various general office machines, including but not limited to copy machines, calculators, computers, and other telephone related devices.
Provides assistance to parents, students, staff, and visitors who enter office.
Assist in the school clinic when necessary.
Coordinates school maintenance requests from classrooms to custodian staff.
Monitors students in the office area.
Makes designated school wide announcements and answers intercom and radios.
Answers telephone and takes messages as appropriate Composes moderately complex correspondence.
Distributes mail, Prepares bulk mailings.
Answers inquiries requiring interpretation of organization policy and procedures.
Meets public; provides assistance in filling out forms, questionnaires, and/or applications.
Performs basic computer skills such as keyboarding, spreadsheets.
Gathers a variety of information from various sources for use by others in answering correspondence or preparing reports.
Prepares reports or drafts correspondence as directed.
Performs basic secretarial functions, including but not limited to setting of appointments, answering phones, and note taking.
Performs any other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required to perform this job successfully.
Education:
A high school diploma, vocational, or GED certificate.
Experience:
Two (2) years of increasingly responsible experience in general secretarial/clerical duties Language Skills:
Reads and comprehends simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
Writes simple correspondence.
Effectively presents information in one-on-one and small group situations.
Mathematical Skills:
Adds, subtracts, multiplies, and divides in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Computes rate, ratio, and percent and draws and interprets bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability:
Applies common sense understanding to carry out simple instructions.
Deals with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.
Computer Skills:

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
